YOGA講師のTEEです。
この場所に来てくださり、そしてYOGAという旅の一歩を踏み出してくださり、本当にありがとうございます。
このクラス「YOGA入門クラス」では、YOGAの基礎をゆっくりと、優しく、丁寧に練習していきます。
ただ動きをこなすのではなく、感じ、呼吸し、身体の声に耳を澄ませる時間を大切にします。

Hello everyone.
I am Tee, and I’m a yoga instructor.
Thank you so much for being here, and for taking the first step toward your yoga journey.
In this class—Yoga Beginner Class—we practice the foundations of yoga slowly, gently, and with care.
Instead of rushing through movements, we take time to feel, breathe, and listen to the body.
多くの人はYOGAを、モデルのように美しくポーズを決める華やかな動きだと思いがちです。
しかし、YOGAはもっと手前から始まります。
YOGAは「気づくこと」から始まり、呼吸から始まり、そして「リラックスを学ぶこと」から始まります。
Many people think yoga is about some fancy moves which gorgeous looking, fashion model types of people do.
But yoga begins much earlier, much simpler—Yoga begins with awareness.
Yoga begins with breathing. And yoga begins with learning how to relax.
**** なぜこのクラスが初心者に最適なのか ****
**** Why is this class ideal for beginners? ****
このクラスが初心者の方に向いている理由をお伝えします。
このクラスでは、仰向けまたは座った姿勢で行うポーズを中心に練習します。
床と重力によって身体が安定し、バランスを取るために無理に力む必要がありません。
Let me tell you why this class is ideal for beginners.
In this class, we mainly practice poses performed lying on the back or sitting on the floor.
These positions stabilize the body with the support of the ground and gravity, so there’s no need to fight to maintain the balance or strain yourself to support your own weight.
この安定は、心を柔らげ、柔軟性を育て、不要な緊張を手放すための安全なスペースとなります。
私たちは気づかぬうちに肩に力が入り、呼吸が浅くなり、歯を食いしばります。
特に難しいポーズに挑戦すると、こうした緊張はほぼ確実に起こります。
This solid stability becomes a safe space where you can soften your mind so you can focus on developing to improve your flexibility so your body can learn how to release unnecessary tension.
We often exert force without noticing—shoulders tighten, breath shrinks, jaw clenches.
Especially if you do some kind of difficult yoga pose, these things almost always happen.
だからこそ私は、YOGAは仰向けや座位のポーズから始めるべきだと考えています。
リラックスと言うと簡単そうに聞こえますが、「意識してリラックスすること」は驚くほど難しいものです。
That’s why I believe that you should start yoga with the pose done by lying on your back or sitting on the floor.
O.K.?
So, “relaxing” or “relaxation” sound nothing special.They sound so casual and easy.
However “relaxing on purpose” or "to relax intensionally” is surprisingly difficult.
しかし呼吸と丁寧な動きを通して、意識的に力みを抜く技術を身につけることができます。
それは単なる「感覚」ではなく、再現できる「技術」です。
一度身につけば、仕事にも、日常にも、人生の大事な局面にも活かすことができます。
崖っぷちのような緊張の瞬間に、呼吸と意識があなたを助けてくれるのです。
But with yoga-style breathing and mindful movement, you begin to learn the skill or technique of conscious relaxation.
I mean, you can develop the ability to be able to relax with your intention.
It is a technique—not just a feeling. It is a tangible skill–not an abstract concept.
And once you learn it, you can carry it into the rest of your life. And you can apply it in many places and occasions.
You can apply it in your work.
You can apply it in your daily life.
You can apply it even into crucial moments in your life.
The crucial moment that your life is just hanging on the cliff edge when you need your calmness the most.
Learning how to relax with your own intention is one of the core goals of this class.
**** 呼吸・動き・意識の同期 ****
**** The second core goal: Synchronizing breath, movement, and awareness ****
このクラスのもう一つの目的は、呼吸・身体の動き・心の意図を「同期」させることです。
YOGAはしばしば「動く瞑想」と呼ばれます。
じっと座るからではなく、動きながら内側とつながり続けるからです。
Another goal of this class is to learn SYNCHRONIZING your breathing, body movement and intention of the mind.
Yoga is often called moving meditation.
Not because you sit still—but because you move while staying connected inside.
このクラスでは、YOGAの基礎である呼吸・動き・意識を一致させる練習をします。
これらが揃ったとき、呼吸は深まり、動きは波のように滑らかになり、心は静かに整います。
In this class, you train the foundation of yoga:
To synchronize your Breathing, your Body Movement and your Awareness of mind intention.
When these three align, the mind becomes quiet, the breath becomes deeper, and movement becomes smooth like a gentle wave.
It is a very special experience — subtle, yet powerful.
このスキルはYOGA独特のものであり、今後YOGAを深めていく上で欠かせません。
そしてYOGA以外の場面でも役立ちます。
仕事のストレス、肉体労働、スポーツ、怒りや不安で心が揺れる瞬間。
呼吸と意識の同期は、いつでも帰れる「錨」となります。
This skill is very unique to Yoga.
And this skill is essential for anyone who wants to deepen their yoga practice in the future.
And it is also equally useful outside yoga class.
For example, when you are in stressful meetings at work or some kind.
Or when you are doing hard physical labour work or sports.
Or when you are about to lose your mind in the moments of anger, worry, distress, fatigue and so on.
Developing the awareness of your own breathing, learning to synchronize, breathing, body movement and intention of the mind, becomes an anchor you can always return to and you can always rely on to.

このクラスを続けることで、多くの実用的な恩恵が得られます。

筋肉の柔軟性と関節の可動域の改善。

You will learn how to release stress and mental fatigue.
You will be able to dramatically improve your muscle flexibility and joint mobility.
Better posture and body alignment.
若さを保つ効果、つまりアンチエイジング。
スポーツや肉体労働におけるケガ予防。
心のリフレッシュと感情の安定。
そしてなにより、誰にも邪魔されない「自分だけの時間」を味わえます。
The benefits of maintaining youthfulness will be yours, I mean Anti-aging.
You will be able to reduce the chance of injuries for sports or physical labor.
Mental refreshment and emotional balance.
You will be able to enjoy a moment that belongs only to you — away from pressure, away from demands.

そして大切なことがもう一つ。
YOGAは完璧さを求めません。
ありのままの自分で来ていいのです。
柔軟性は条件ではなく、むしろスタート地点。
硬い人ほど伸びしろが大きく、変化も大きいのです。
One more thing.
Yoga doesn’t demand perfection.
It invites you to show up exactly as you are.
And let me say this clearly:
You don’t need to be flexible to start yoga.
In fact, people who feel stiff often improve the most and experience the biggest transformation.
Stiffness simply means potential — room to grow, space to open.
私は特に男性からこう聞くことが多いです。
「YOGAは良いとわかるけど、身体が硬すぎて…」
どうかそう思わないでください。
硬さは伸び代。
改善の余白です。
I have often heard this mainly from men.
Ah-, I know yoga is good. But I am too stiff for yoga.
Please don’t think in this way.
Think stiffness is the room for improvement.
So if you think, “I’m not flexible,” which means you are perfectly suited for this class.
You are more than welcomed!

I am aware that there are a variety of people who take up yoga for different reasons.
People who simply want to take up yoga.
